Official HAL Launch
The HAL launch featured work by Miles Thurlow and Sunderland based artist Tim Brennan perfomed A Red Shoe Diary. Using his own personal diary from his walk from Jarrow to London, Brennan invited the audience to contemplate what resistance
might mean in the current climate. This performance revolves around a shoe that once belonged to Ellen Wilkinson, leader of the 1936 Jarrow Crusade.
